You will need to allow 1 or 2 weeks to look for accommodation. In practice, there is a lot of competition for accommodation and you will need all the sources of information you can find, including local papers, student noticeboards and newsagent windows. Naturally, you will also be looking on the net.

Inevitably, the list is incomplete, and some sites will be more useful than others.
