This piano moving tip is provided SW Removals who are based in West Norwood. Our polite and friendly staff carefully move pianos from South London and the southern counties, nationwide.

The illustration below shows the danger of moving a trolley with a piano down too steep an incline.

The result is that the piano pulls the handler at the top down, so he can neither keep balance nor control the piano.

Note that there are 3 sturdy boards used. The top board is short enough that the trolley has reached it's end before the handler at the top has had to move off the top step. In this way he remains balanced and able to effectively maintain control.

Note also the piano is offset on the trolly.
